Copper (Cu)
Our complete end-to-end copper logistics — from East Africa to international ports. We source high-grade copper cathode and concentrate directly from licensed mines across East Africa, processing to LME-grade purity standards for industrial buyers worldwide.
Copper — Mine to Market
Every tonne of copper follows a transparent 8-step journey from licensed African mines to international delivery.
Sourcing & Mining
From East Africa’s mineral belts, we partner with licensed copper producers operating both open-pit and underground mines. Each operation is registered with national mining authorities and audited for compliance with OECD Due Diligence guidelines. Our sourcing relationships are built directly with mine operators, eliminating intermediaries and ensuring full transparency from extraction through to export.
Collection & Weighing
Raw copper ore and concentrate are collected on-site and transported to regional aggregation centers under chain-of-custody protocols. Each batch undergoes precise weighing on calibrated industrial scales, with weight, source-mine identification, and date logged into our digital tracking system. Unique batch identification numbers are assigned and tagged — these follow the material through every subsequent stage of processing and export.
Concentrating & Processing
Copper ore is processed using established flotation techniques to produce copper concentrate (typically 25–35% Cu content) or further refined into LME-grade cathode sheets at 99.95%+ purity. Our processing partners operate facilities that meet international metallurgical standards. Each stage is supervised by Kibal personnel to ensure material integrity and accurate weight reconciliation throughout the concentration and refining cycle.
Assay & Quality Certification
Independent ISO 17025-accredited laboratories conduct rigorous assay testing on every shipment to confirm copper content, trace elements, and impurity levels. XRF spectrometry, fire assay, and wet-chemistry analysis methods are deployed to produce certified results. Buyers receive detailed assay certificates tied to the unique chain-of-custody record — providing complete confidence in the grade and quality of every tonne purchased.
Compliance Documentation
A comprehensive compliance package is prepared for each shipment: OECD due diligence reports, conflict-mineral declarations, country-of-origin certificates, environmental compliance attestations, and all required government export authorizations. This documentation ensures buyers meet their corporate, regulatory, and supply-chain obligations under global responsible-sourcing frameworks — including Dodd-Frank Act Section 1502 for US-listed companies.
Secure Transport
Heavy-haul logistics from processing facility to designated export point. Cathode sheets are securely strapped on flatbed trailers; concentrate is bagged in lined super-sacks or shipped in bulk containers. All movements are insured, GPS-tracked, and coordinated with our security partners. Dedicated logistics managers monitor each transfer in real time, ensuring chain-of-custody integrity from origin to port.
Export & Customs Clearance
Full export documentation is prepared and submitted to relevant authorities — export licenses, customs declarations, pre-shipment inspection certificates, and bills of lading. Our regulatory team navigates the export procedures of DRC, Zambia, Tanzania, and Uganda, ensuring smooth, compliant clearance without delays. Containers are sealed under customs supervision before departure to international ports.
International Delivery
Sea-freight delivery to global buyers via Africa's major export corridors — Dar es Salaam, Beira, Walvis Bay. Bulk vessels and containerized shipments are handled by our trusted shipping partners, with insurance covering full transit value. CIF, FOB, and DAP delivery terms are available to suit buyer requirements. Final document exchange and payment settlement complete each transaction, with the customer relationship maintained for future trade.
